Christmas salt dough decorative cookies


Recipe -

Ingredients:

640g Flour

275g Salt

350ml Water

colored royal icing

 

Extra:

Ribbon or pipe cleaners

 

Step by Step:

 

1- Combine the flour, salt and water and mix well (Approximately 2-4 minutes). 

2- Roll the dough onto a lightly floured surface until approximately 1 Centimeter thick 

3- Using a butter Knife, Draw out the shape of your favorite Happos Characters or Christmas themed Design 

4- Carefully remove all excess dough 

5- Using a straw, make a hole near the top of each shape. This will be used to hanging later

6- Preheat the oven to 150 degrees C (300 degrees F). and bake for 40 minutes (or just before start to brown) then allow to cool.

7- Decorate with icing, allow icing to set completely (overnight).

8- Thread ribbon or string through the hole and tie in a knot.

9- Hang from tree!

Use a wet finger to smooth the icing down for a floorless finish

Always allow Icing to dry/harden between colors
